On July 14th, the proposed 2018 Diabetes Prevention Recognition Program (DPRP) Standards were published in the Federal Register.  The announcement can be found at:  https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2017/07/14/2017-14792/proposed-data-collection-submitted-for-public-comment-and-recommendations  The comment period is open until September 12, 2017.  The DPRP Standards are revised every three years to reflect current science and best practices.  The proposed Standards have also been revised to align with the proposed CMS rule.  Of particular note is a new category of recognition called preliminary recognition which will allow organizations that have not yet achieved full recognition to begin billing Medicare in 2018.
