On July 13th, the CMS second proposed rule on the Medicare DPP Expanded Model was published in the Federal Register. Facts sheets and a link to the proposed rule can be found at: https://innovation.cms.gov/initiatives/medicare-diabetes-prevention-program/ The first rule was published in November 2016. The second rule proposes additional policies necessary for suppliers to begin providing MDPP services nationally in 2018, including the proposed MDPP payment structure, supplier enrollment requirements and compliance standards. The comment period is open until September 11, 2017.
