The National Diabetes Information Clearinghouse (NDIC) provides information and resources to increase knowledge and understanding about diabetes.
The National Diabtes Information Clearinghouse (NDIC), a service of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), NIH, provides the following information and services for patients, health care professionals, and the general public:
- Publications on pre-diabetes, newly
diagnosed, type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes are available
on-line and in printed formats. Resources include:
- A to Z list of topics and titles
- Easy-to-Read Publications
- Spanish-language publications
- Information on treatments, complications, statistics, clinical trials, and research reports.
- Response to inquiries about diabetes, ranging from information about available patient and professional education materials to statistical data.
- The NIDDK Reference Collection, a database of health education materials produced for patients and health care professionals, including fact sheets, brochures, and audiovisual materials.
