Qualis Health

We are a private, nonprofit organization based in Seattle, where we have operated since our founding in 1974. Our collaborative relationships with providers, practitioners, managed care plans, employers, and community groups define the way we do business

Under a contract to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Qualis Health serves as the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for Idaho and Washington. For more information about QIOs, visit:

Building on a portfolio of population-based quality improvement initiatives begun in the mid-1990s, Qualis Health continues to help healthcare providers in Washington and Idaho improve care in key clinical areas. Qualis Health has taken a national leadership role with projects such as the Communications QIOSC, Process Improvement QIOSC, National Nursing Home Improvement Collaborative and the Collaborative Experience Project: Surgical Infection Prevention.

Qualis Health offers a suite of programs and services designed to help manage healthcare cost and quality for a variety of clients.

From Qualis Health offices in Alaska, Idaho, South Carolina, and Washington, we serve a diverse clientele of consumers, employers, providers, managed care organizations, third-party administrators, insurance carriers, and government agencies.

We are accredited by URAC, also known as the American Accreditation HealthCare Commission, for health utilization management services and case management organization standards. This demonstrates compliance with the industry's highest standards for utilization management and case management services.

Our team of highly skilled professionals includes:
