The National Institutes of Health Requests Public Input on Disease Prevention

A Request for Information from the National Institutes of Health

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has just recently announced the release of a Request for Information (RFI) seeking broad public input on the development of the FY 2013-2018 Strategic Plan for the Office of Disease Prevention (ODP).  Respondents are encouraged to review and provide comments on a set of draft strategic priorities, which will ultimately represent the areas of emphasis for the Office over the next five years.

The RFI is one of several steps in the NIH process and represents an opportunity to gather feedback from a variety of constituency groups.  CDC has been encouraged to share this announcement with partner organizations interested in the work of the NIH.  The comment period for the RFI is open until April 30, 2013. To participate in the RFI, please visit the website at http://prevention-nih.org/aboutus/strategic_plan/rfi.aspx. If you have questions regarding the RFI or the ODP planning process, please visit the ODP website http://prevention.nih.gov/aboutus/strategic_plan/default.aspx
