NDEP Seeking Nominations for Diabetes HealthSense Task Group

A message from Joanne Gallivan and Diane Tuncer on behalf of the National Diabetes Education Program

NDEP is looking for experienced volunteers to assist in maintaining and enhancing NDEP’s award-winning Diabetes HealthSense tool. Diabetes HealthSense is an online library that provides easy access to more than 160 resources from more than 80 organizations that support people with diabetes, people at risk for the disease, and those who care for them in making changes to live well or facilitating behavior change in others.

The task group will review resources to determine their eligibility for inclusion in Diabetes HealthSense. The task group will also identify and address resource gaps, and provide recommendations to support NDEP in the promotion and evaluation of this web resource. For more information, please view the Diabetes HealthSense Task Group nomination criteria.

If you or someone you know has relevant experience and could contribute to the work of this task group, we welcome your nomination or self-nomination.

To submit a nomination, please send a recent bio or CV and a statement of interest that provides a sense of the contribution the person can make to the work of the NDEP’s Diabetes HealthSense Task Group to Joanne_Gallivan@nih.gov by January 29, 2013.
