This Research Plan will be used to guide a systematic review of the evidence by researchers at an Evidence-based Practice Center. The resulting Evidence Report will form the basis of the USPSTF Recommendation Statement on this topic.

This research plan from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force will be used to guide a systematic review of the evidence by researchers at an Evidence-based Practice Center.

This review of the evidence will form the basis of the USPSTF Recommendation Statement on Screening for Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Impaired Fasting Glucose, and Impaired Glucose Tolerance.

To view the current recommendation (released June 2008), view the USPSTF page on Screening for Type 2 Diabetes in Adults (without symptoms).
