Last year more than 100,000 walkers from around the country joined in the fight against diabetes!

Each step they took and every dollar they raised helps the American Diabetes Association provide community based education programs, protect the rights of people with diabetes and fund critical research for a cure.

Now it's your chance to become a part of Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes and start making your contribution to change the future of diabetes.

This Fall you can participate in one of 5 walks around Washington.

Events are occurring in the following areas:

Clark County - October 9, 2010

Richland - September 25, 2010

Seattle - Oct 9, 2010

Tacoma - October 9, 2010

Spokane - October, 3, 2010

Teams are forming now!

It's more fun to Step Out together!

Gather your friends, family and co-workers and Form a team today! Or you can join an  existing team in your area.

If you do not live in one of the five event areas you can still participate in your neighborhood by participating in the virtual walker program.

Do you know someone living with Type 1 or Type 2 Diabetes? By participating in the Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes they can become a Red Strider. As a Red Strider they will receive special VIP treatment and recognition that day of the event!

If you are unable to walk but still want to be involved, volunteers are needed to make help make this event fun for everyone!  Volunteer today.
